Theory & Aural Skills Course Using The Piano

This practical course uses the piano in a way that enables students to SEE & HEAR the relationships between the notes that go together to form intervals, scales and chords.  One of the best ways to learn about harmony and develop your aural skills is to learn and practise with the piano. Being able to see the intervallic relationships between the notes that make up chords and scales is key to understanding how harmony works. Likewise, being able to play the intervals, chords, and scales on the piano is key to improving your aural skills. The visual and aural work at the piano combined with singing and internalisation (developing your "inner minds ear") of intervals, chords, and scales makes for great aural skills practice.

This course is designed to be presented in a clear, logical, and progressive way that starts with the fundamentals and builds from there. This course is great preparation for VCE & AMEB exams, or for any musician who would like to improve their harmonic knowledge and aural skills.
